Vice-President of ISLSSL – International Society of Labour Law and Social Security, since 2021.

Member of the Executive Committee of ISLSSL – International Society of Labour Law and Social Security since 2014.

Portuguese member of the European Commission’s Committee of Jurists on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination since 1994.

Legal consultant in the areas of Labour Law, Civil Law, Social Security Law, Civil Service Law and Equality Law.

Scientific coordinator of various international projects in the areas of Labour Law and Equality Law, and consultant to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the International Labour Organisation.

Scientific coordinator of various projects to draw up normative acts in the areas of Labour Law, Civil Service Law and Equality.

She is the author of several monographs and dozens of articles in collective works and periodicals, both national and foreign, in the areas of Labour Law, Social Security Law, Civil Law and Equality Law.

She has been a guest lecturer at other universities in Portugal (University of Coimbra Law School, Lusíada University, Portuguese Catholic University), Brazil (Presbyterian University of São Paulo, University of São Paulo (USP), and Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo) and Spain (University of Seville, Complutense University of Madrid, University of Oviedo and University of Santiago de Compostela ), the Netherlands (University of The Hague), the Czech Republic (Charles University of Prague), Italy (University of Turin) and Angola (Lusíada University of Angola).

She has been a guest speaker at numerous scientific events in Portugal and abroad, namely in Germany (Trier), France (Paris), Belgium (Brussels), Hungary (Budapest), the Czech Republic (Prague), Brazil (São Paulo, Campinas and Porto Alegre), the Netherlands (The Hague), Spain (Madrid, Valencia and Seville), Italy (Turin) and also at the European Parliament, the European Commission and the ILO.

She is the author of several monographs and dozens of articles in collective works and periodicals, both national and international, in the areas of Labour Law, Social Security Law, Civil Law and Equality Law.
