Assessment

The evaluation refers exclusively to each student.

All curricular units are taught by Doctors of Law.

The assessment of the curricular units must include:

a) A compulsory final written assessment test, lasting between 90 and 150 minutes;
b) Other elements of assessment, written and/or oral, to be determined by the teacher responsible for the course unit. (Article 30 et seq. of the Regulations)

NOTE: The curricular units “Introduction to Scientific Research Methodology I” and “Introduction to Scientific Research Methodology II” may be subject to a special assessment regime.

Passing the specialisation course requires the completion of all curricular units with a mark of 10 or more.

Passing each course in the Specialisation Course presupposes attending at least half of the classes taught.

Students can choose between writing a master’s thesis or an internship report.

Grades or classifications are published on the Fénix Portal, using the username and password associated with the Campus@UL account, and are the only place where students can consult their grades or classifications.

The final classification of the cycle of studies leading to the master’s degree is awarded by the jury appointed to assess and discuss the dissertation, and is expressed by the formulae Rejected or Approved. Successful students are awarded marks in the 10-20 range of the integer scale from 0 to 20.
