The EJEF Journal of the Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais is now open for submissions.
Published biannually and electronically, the journal publishes quality peer-reviewed scientific articles in a blind review system using the OJS (Open Journal System) platform.

The Institute of Brazilian Law has submitted its 2024 activities report to the Scientific Council of the University of Lisbon. In the period between March and December 2024, the IDB’s new board promoted a significant number of scientific events, established protocols with academic institutions, received several delegations from courts and universities, and implemented extensive internal restructuring, among other activities.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the participants, speakers and institutions that contributed to the success of this journey of legal learning and co-operation throughout the year. For the year 2025, the Institute is planning a diverse range of activities, partnerships, institutional visits and events in various fields of law, with the aim of boosting and promoting academic cooperation between Brazil and Portugal

On 28 November 2024, Professor José Luís Bonifácio Ramos took part in the Closing Session of the 13th International Meeting on Cultural Rights – Brazil Phase, on the theme “Contemporary Trends in Cultural Rights”, in an interesting and fruitful dialogue with Professors Jesús Prieto de Pedro (Spain), Laurence Cuny (France) and Humberto Cunha Filho (Brazil).

On 26 November 2024, Professor Carla Amado Gomes gave a lecture for the research group Climate emergency and civil liability for natural disasters, coordinated by Professor Délton Carvalho (Unisinos, Rio Grande do Sul), via Teams (09H00 BR/ 12H00 PT), on the theme Flood risk management in Portugal: from inevitability to accountability.

Professor José Luís Bonifácio Ramos, President of the Brazilian Law Institute, will take part in the II Ibero-American Congress on Cultural Law, to be held at the University of Tlaxacala, in Mexico, on 14, 15 and 16 October.
