What is it?
The Psychological Support Office (GAP) is a psychological support service based at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL), on the initiative of the Academic Association of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (AAFDL) with the support of FDUL, and is staffed exclusively by professionals in the field of psychology.
What for?
In addition to individual psychological counselling, the aim is to develop a range of activities that focus on developing skills (personal, professional and academic), facilitating transition and adaptation processes for new students, prevention and promotion of psychological health, career development, inclusive education / specific educational needs and crisis intervention.
For whom?
It is aimed at FDUL students, in any of its study cycles (bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate) and is exclusive to them.
How?
All GAP services are free of charge, unless otherwise stated. Consultations are available in person and online. The team is bound by professional secrecy and follows all the procedures of the Code of Ethics of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association;
Where and when?
The GAP works in classrooms 12.28 and 13.11. Opening hours are from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm on weekdays; however, there is flexibility to adapt to students’ needs whenever possible.
