• General coordinator of “ELPIS Resarch”, a European research consortium which includes scientific representatives from more than 35 law schools in Europe and other parts of the world,
• President of the “ELPIS Network”, a research and teaching consortium of law faculties from 35 European Union countries (set up in 1985 by the Jurisitische Fakultät der Leibniz Universität Hannover, a group he has chaired since 2015);
• President and Scientific Coordinator (general and Portuguese) of the European Masters in European Legal Practice (LLM. Eur. – “Master der Europäischen Rechtspraxis”, “Master de Pratique Juridique Européenne”, “Master’s Degree in European Legal Practice”), a joint teaching and research organisation of the Faculties of Law of the Universities of Lisbon, Hannover, Rouen and Vilnius, which began in 2004.
